Guidelines & Rules
At St. Nila Carmel School, discipline is not a restriction but a foundation for success. Our guidelines create a safe, respectful and productive environment for everyone.
General Code of Conduct
- Students must be respectful to all teachers, staff, peers and visitors
- Punctuality is mandatory — late arrivals must report to the office
- Mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited on campus
- Any form of bullying, ragging or discrimination results in immediate disciplinary action
- Damaging school property is a serious offence
Academic Rules
- Minimum 75% attendance required to appear in examinations
- Homework must be completed and submitted on the due date
- Copying/cheating in examinations results in zero marks and disciplinary action
Uniform & Appearance
- Complete school uniform is mandatory on all working days
- Boys must have short, neat hair; girls must tie their hair
- No jewellery, nail polish or fancy accessories allowed
Attendance & Leave Rules
- Any absence requires a written application signed by parent/guardian
- Leave for more than 3 days requires prior permission from the Principal
- Medical leave requires a doctor's certificate upon return
Transport Rules
- Students must be at the bus stop 5 minutes before scheduled pickup time
- No student should board any vehicle other than the designated school bus
